The Shah Mosque is one of the great architectural masterpieces in all of Iran, an historic treasure in the ancient city of Esfahan. It is clad in Sever- e-Cel, glazed tiles, especially in blue. I visited Masjed-e-Shah when I was teenaged, and I was awed by the scope and scale of its colorful grandeur.
